Bridget of Sweden (1303-1373).  Born in Sweden, she gave birth to 8 children.  Also a member of the (lay) Third Order of St. Francis, after her husband’s death, she decided to live a more ascetical life.  She later founder the Bridgettine Order and went to Rome where she became outstanding in her practice of virtue.  She wrote many works describing her own mystical experiences and went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
